Saturday morning, we got word that the judge had contacted our coordinator and said that our court date would be delayed until Monday, 1/22. Nothing is wrong, they simply explained that the schedule is too full and they feared not getting to us on Friday. While this is not great news, we are happy to see Katie for a few extra days. Honestly, we are homesick and had started the countdown until our departure – which will now occur on Wednesday 1/24. Oh well…
Katie has been great! She gets sweeter every time we see her. In the room where all of the cribs are, she can see the door and is always awake when we arrive. We stand in the doorway until she sees us – and her face (and ours) just light up!
